The inspiration for Orbit came from my fascination with mobiles and kinetic sculptures. Merging a mobile with a candleholder, my goal was to create a piece that was simple and elegant, highlighting the play between a balancing point and the movement powered by a gentle updraft of the heat from the candles.
Orbit is made from aluminium, spring steel, and powder coated steel.
