Phew... it´s been a while!

Last summer I moved to London for 3 months to work as an intern for Tomoko Azumi´s t.n.a. Design studio. It proved to be a great hands-on experience on working at a busy design studio. Tomoko and the other designers were great and gave me demanding projects and great oppurtunities to develope my skills and knowledge.

My work has been in some magazines/papers lately. I´ll put some pdf-files with the articles on the website soon. The magazines/papers include: Forum AID, Frame, The New York Times, Iceland Review and a lot of designblogs.

I´m still working on my projects and I´m hoping to show them on some designfairs and exhibitions next winter.

I have had a lot of requests through emails about where to buy my designs. All of my designs are still one-off prototypes and not for sale, as I have just recently graduated. It´s been great to see such a huge interest in my work from people from everywhere around the world and I´m really flattered!

Finally I update my website! Here I will post some news about projects and exhibitions.

At the moment I´m showing in "Magma"/"Kvika" at Kjarvalsstaðir museum in Iceland. I´m showing the radiator "Blush" (which is actually called "Arterior" in the exhibition but I hadn´t really decided on the name when I put it on the show, I think I´m gonna stick with "Blush".)"Magma", the book was also published at the opening of the show. It is a great review of temporary Icelandic design and has also some written articles by designers and writers. I´ve updated the pictures of the radiator on the website.

The graduation show was in May. It was situated in the old potato storages in Reykjavík, but they´re changing the place to an art centre. My graduation project was the "Clock". I´ve had some great responses on the clock and a very good final critique. I´m now starting a research on how to find a way of solving some technical issues and how to make it manufacturable.
